Four Things a Motorcycle Rider Must Do to Avoid Accidents

There is nothing better than riding your motorcycle down the open road on a weekend afternoon with the sun warming your back and the fresh air blowing on your face. Unfortunately, not all rides will be quite so ideal. If you own a motorcycle, you know how quickly a fun afternoon can take a turn for the worse. You probably know at least one buddy that has been in an accident or maybe you have been in one yourself. So how do you stay safe while still enjoying the ride?

First of all, check the weather before you head out for a drive. Many accidents can be avoided simply by not taking your bike out in questionable weather. Wet leaves in the fall and icy conditions in the winter are notorious for causing terrible accidents. If you get caught in a downpour, find a safe place to wait it out. You can't be in such a hurry to get somewhere that it is worth risking an accident. Even if you have wait in the rain while the storm passes, it is still better than ending up in a crash.
