|
The answer to the question is no, ATVs are not too dangerous for children. However, there are conditions to that answer. A child has to have to right attitude about operating an ATV. These are not toys and they must be driven responsibly. An ideal start would be an ATV safety course, that includes you and your child. This is a terrific way for them to learn safe driving practices and to show them that you are also interested in learning the safest way to operate an all terrain vehicle. In many areas a safety course is mandatory before your child can ride. Second, children should be wearing properly fitted safety gear. Children should be driving without a properly fitted helmet, gloves and goggles. Durable Pants and a jacket that are designed for ATV riding is also great to stop bruises and cuts. |
